Joaquin Pheonix Doc. Get’s US Release Date.

We sooo want to believe this is true and not a joke on us all. We’ve talked about it before and we think Joaquin Pheonix has a special talent when it comes to stepping up to the mike and delivering some killer rhymes, well, actually maybe he should stick to acting.

This documentary, ‘I’m Still Here‘ directed by Casey Affleck is due for release in the US in September this year. There’s no UK release date as yet, but when there is we’ll be down the front, popcorn in hand. In the meantime here’s the publicity poster.

Joaquim Pheonix Really is a Rapper!

So, it’s true movie lover peeps, and we’re secretly really pleased. Heat is saying that Joaquin Pheonix really is a rapper and it’s not all just a cunning ruse to make an interesting documentary. The chap behind the film, Joaquim’s brother in-law, Casey Affleck is telling the world that it’s all true and no one is putting anything on.

Affleck said “To the outside world there were certain media spectacles that were kind of embarrassing for him and cast him in a very negative light, I hope that this film in some way goes towards redressing that balance, and giving a real portrait of him during those times. When it began, I couldn’t foresee all that would happen. I’d be lying if I said that I knew that all the fantastic things in the documentary would take place over the couple of years I spent with him filming, and maybe he would not have wanted me to do so had he known. But he had made a commitment to me and let me see it through.”

Brilliant! It would have been dissapointing to discover Joaquim was trying to pull a fast one. Or is this a double bluff? Oh. Hmm?
